Spring is finaly here and time to take out the Nova again.
I didn't get to do too much this winter with upgrade's b/c I'm a dad now. =p
I did install a 1" carb spacer, a B&M vacume modulator and a advance curve kit. Not long ago I rasied up the rear end 4" to be able to get some bigger meats in there for drag racing.
The Nova has a wicked idle to it and it sounds mean with the FlowTech Terminator mufflers installed.
After Break-in and some miles added to the new engine I desided to head down to the New England Dragway for some testing to help tune the carb and timing.
After doing a total of 6 runs on two different night's I managed to get the car down to 14.2/sec @ 121mph in the 1/4.
The Biggest problem I was having was traction. At WOT I couldn't get the car to stick to the track untill I was at about 70mph. My first run was crappy. When the light hit green I punched it at WOT and the car just stood still. Tire's spinning with a good smoke show.
Soo to fix this problem I will have to buy new wider rims and tires along with a 4 link suspension. If the tires are still no good then I'll have to go and tub the car out.
