ENGINE IS SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
13/01/04. I have a series 5, 13b turbo engine without the turbo (suplied, not fitted), but with a carby set up that can be seen in most of the early photo's throughout these pages. It also comes with the computer in the pickies, an electronic dizzy and a 5 speed gearbox, along with other bits aswell including stainless steel extractors. The 13b has a 12A timing cover and modified sump to suit an early RX conversion. As seen below.
$1500.00 ONO. Perth, Western Australia, buyers only. Drop me a message with your e-mail and I'll respond. SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the first build up of my 808. I bought it of a mate who had the same idea, but never went ahead with it, as a bog (pardon the pun) stocker with the original 4cylinder and automatic transmission.
I then set about coverting it to a series 4 13b rotary with a 5 speed transmission. Which isn't as easy as it may sound!
First the old 4banger was removed and turfed along with the auto slushbox and a manual pedal box assembly was installed.
I had a Capella as a donor car which helped immensely in getting the 808 together. The Capella didn't have a great deal of it left when I had finished.
This picture of the engine is from when I put it all together the first time.
The racing seats and the ROH 15" rims came off the donor car aswell as the motor and box. The seats were retrimmed and the rims were powder coated.
