Sup, I'm Justin. This is my dime. Kinda plain right now, but like most people I have big plans and no money. She's sittin on a 4/5 drop, 2" spindles, 2" springs, 3" leafs and 2" blocks. I get around on 17" x 8" Boyd Coddington Sidewinders wrapped in Falken Azenis 235/45 rubber.
The hood is a 1" cowl hood from Goodmark. Yeah yeah, I have a 2.2 and a cowl hood.... but when the insurance company is paying, you take what you can get. Besides... it'll give me more room when I do the Lt1 swap. There are some APC clears in the grille and I have a set of APC white face gauges. I had sworn off APC after my first set of turn signals broke and several other APC products crapped out. I got these turn signals for a good deal and it appears that APC has upped the quality of their stuff a bit.
The mirrors are Street Scene knockoffs. Can't remember the company's name right now, I'll post it up later. There are some genuine Street Scene speed grilles stuffed in the grille along with a billet specialties bowtie to brighten things up. Speaking of Billet Specialties, I just got a bunch of goddies from them. I have a billet shifter, billet windowcranks, billet antenna, and billet pedals all installed. Other mods of note include a Home Depot CAI, stepshavers, painted wiper cowl and door handles.
Sorry I don't have a lot of pics up right now, but most of them are rather outdated. I'll get more up as soon as I get a chance.
Everthing you see was done by me. Well, not the paint... but everything else. From chopping the headrests, to the fiberglass panels and boxes, to the drop on the truck. Not knocking folks who take their rides to shops or nutthin, but I'd just rather do it myself... makes it... I dunno... more personal I guess.
If ya wanna holla at me, my screen name is Pharacyde on AIM.
There's a lot on the drawing board for this truck... a full shave, new paint (two tone, haven't decided on the colors yet), new interior, maybe new wheels, a blow through... As soon as I learn to weld and save up some cash... I'ma bag this bish!
Update... bought a checkmate tonneau. Not really impressed with the quality. two pieces of fiberglass with a thick piece of styrofoam sandwhiched in between. But I suppose if it gets the job done...
The finish from the factory is very grainy. It's gonna have to be sanded and/or shot with some filler primer and built up pretty good before paint. I disassembled the cover, drilled out the rivets and took the rails off so that each could be painted seperatley. There are stories of the paint cracking where the rails meet an along the edges from where the parts were painted all together and the expansion/contraction from the heat and cold causing cracks to form. I DO NOT like the friggin piano hinges that come with this thing... I will definatley try to find an alternative.
I got the cover off a friend who had totaled his truck, so it wasn't all that expensive, but still... it leaves a lot to be desired. Add "Build custom tonneau" to the list of things to do after I learn to weld.
