blondebirdgirl's 1987 Ford Thunderbird

This was the first Thunderbird I ever had. Before it I had a 1990 Ford Tempo. I had been saving from my part-time job working at Harvey's and after work one day I stopped off at a convenience store to grab an Auto Trader, just out of curiousity. When I got home and looked through it I discovered this car for $1000. As soon as my dad got home we called and arranged to go and see it. After a test drive and a thorough once-over we payed for it and we were on our way home. For a 1988 TBird, it was so clean underneath we couldn't beleive it. This car was worth way more than $1000, but of course, we didn't say anything to the owner. When I finally got to drive it, I was so impressed, I had never driven anything so awesome and fell inlove with it. It was my baby.

I had that car for about 7 months and one weekend I was at my b/f's his dad accidently backed into it. We had gone out for lunch and when we came back his dad greeted us in the driveway, (neither of us even noticed my car), so we thought it was kinda weird that he came out to greet us. He walked up to the window and said that he was really sorry, but he was backing up and he accidently hit my car. I swung around in my seat and just about burst into tears. The front driver's side corner was smashed. It was even that bad, but I was heartbroken. My precious car, I didn't even want to look at it I was so upset. The corner and marker lights were each smashed, the bumper was all twisted and bent in and the fender was pushed up about and inch. I was going to need a whole new front end.

I love that shaker hood idea you guys did. I've wanted to do that for a long time but its hard to find shaker assemblys for a reasonable price. 5*! Check out my Cougar some time.
