As the saying goes wait and you shall recieve. This car found me more than I found it. My friend owns an 88 na 300zx and he was tring to get a parts car to do a heart transplant. He found a na 300zx that someone had put a turbo engine in for sale for $2000. We thought it would be perfect because it allready had all the parts to do the swap. My brother and my friend drove to Montgomery, AL to pick the car up. He decided to sell it to me because it was too nice to take apart.
The owner of the car was in the military and was stationed in Germany for a while. He had his car shipped to him so he could drive it on the autobahn. While there he had engine trouble. He took the car to a local mechanic to have it looked at. The mechanic ask him if he just wanted him to replace the engine rather than fix it. Little did he know he was getting a turbo engine out of the deal. The mechanic returned the keys and told him that he forgot it was a turbo but he was a man of his word and installed it for the same price that he had orginally quoted. This car has never been driven in winter. A few turns of bad luck first made this choice for me. In the fall of 2001 my brother was driving and the car blew a head gasket. I left it in the garage until april. We did all the routine maintance and got it running great in 3 days. Bad luck struck again in sep of 2002 while running at the post office I noticed a puddle. Oil was pouring out of the plastic engine gaurd. In april of 2003 we replaced a timing belt that had 3000 miles on it. It turned out that my dad and I had not got the crank shaft seal all the way in. While cleaning the car out in the garage I could not belive my eyes. In the storage compartment was a manual boost controller. The owner had told me this was his project car and 10mins later my z was running 8psi.

Nice new pics Jeff, but last years are hard to beat! I like the burnout pics of course. Probably my favorite would be that closeup of the front. Really shows off how angular that car is. Have a good one, buddy. Later.
