INTRO:

Say what you like, but the Germans know how to make a car. Granted, the Jetta is an entry-level German car, but it still is a fine piece of machinery.
Just to give you some history.......
I wanted a car that exemplified my personality. I wanted a sedan (because I don't like 2 doors and I like trunks), I wanted something well made (so no domestics ;-), and I wanted some power. At the time there were only a few cars that worked: Impreza, Protoge', Corrolla, Sentra, Jetta. The 2000 Jetta was, by far, the best looking car inside and out. I fell in love with it then. But, I had to wait 3 years before I could afford one. It was worth it.

Granted, it's not the best layout for performance: nose heavy, front wheel drive; but with some mods it can do what I want it to. And it does not have the most expensive interior. But, everytime I get in another car, I miss the simple yet classy styling in my Silverwolf.
The rest, as they say, is history: I picked a Wolfsburg Edition because it had a nice spoiler, wheels and seats. I picked the 1.8t because it was a turbo and had lots of tuning potential. I picked Reflex Silver because it is such a versatile color. I picked a manual tranny because I actually wanted to drive the car......

The mods have all been performance oriented up to this point. I basically wanted to "fix" everything that VW did wrong with the car. I knew a front engine - front drive sedan would never be a race car, but I came up with packages that evened out the car and made it easy and fast to drive. For a complete breakdown of mods see the following pages.

Basically, I'm content with what the car can do now. Of course I'd like to do more, but right now I can drive the car the way I want, and it will last a long time still.
