Comparing Cheetah vs Stock. And updates. Here you can compare the stock system with the Cheetah system.GTS 61 Turbo compared to the 46trim hybrid. This is how the system looks like put together.Comparing the stock with the Cheetah intake you can see the difference. The Cheetah has 2 1/2 inches more plenum space than the stock piece, and the stock 46mm elbow has been replace by a 58mm inside diameter piece and has been match with a 58mm throttle body. The small Mazda MX6 intercooler was replace by the larger unit on the right. And I just finished installing this one. Big difference huh? Here you can really see the difference between the two. With the Cheetah package and the intercooler in the bottom of this picture and base tunning the car put out 377whp@5000rpm and 404wtorque@5000rpm and that was the only run I did.I had 2 problems at the dyno:-1 the engine wouln't pass 4800-5000rpm due to a later found bad ground connection because I moved the battery to the trunk.-2when I connected the laptop to tune the airfuel map on the car because it was way off, the battery on the laptop went dead!I haven't taken it back after I fixed the ground problem and installed the new intercooler, next time I'll be able to rev it to were I design the Cheetah system for; 7000rpm. Analyzing the dyno sheet, when the engine cut-off at 5000rpm due ground problem, the hp and torque numbers mentioned above were climbing steadily both at the same rate.MSD 6A has been replaced by the powerfull 7AL-2Also the coil was replaced to take full advantage of the new ignition box.
