My name is Mike and this is my 1987 Buick GRAND NATIONAL. I've owned this car since 1990.
In 1999 I had the interior completely re-finished from headliner to carpet and door to door. It has ice cold A/c, power locks, power windows, twilight sentinal, T-tops, Casper Electronics knock detector, Autometer rich/lean guage both mounted in a specially designed roof mounted guage pod by Dennis Kirban. Autometer 2 5/8" boost guage mounted on drivers pillar and oil pressure/water temperature guages mounted in a center console guage pod.

I had the paint and body completely re-done also in 2000, I had it straightened and re-painted Black with all the exterior trim also re-finished in gloss black. I replaced all exterior emblems on this car with brand new GM pieces.

The stock Grand National wheels are quite a site as I stripped all the black paint off of them, they look much cleaner and the additional shine really adds to the all black car.
The engine in these cars from the factory are already pretty impressive and mine was in need of a re-build so I had the block bored .030" over and then re-assembled with all stock components and forged pistons. The heads were re-built to factory specs also but will soon be replaced by aluminum Champion heads.I have installed 30lb injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, a Garrett TE-44 turbo was installed for a little more power. I also installed A ATR 3" down pipe with Torque Tech 3" mandrel bent exhaust all the way out. It has under-drive pulleys, ported intercooler, and lots of chrome, billet and polished aluminum.
the transmission is an Art Carr 200-4R. It has the original 8.5" 3.42 posi traction rearend.

In my 1st year of showing this car it has received 12 tophies and awards. I only drive it on the weekends or for special occassions otherwise it just sits at home in my garage. If you have never had the opportunity to own or even drive one of these, it is one of the most awesome cars ever built and if you have then you know exactly what I mean.
I will keep everyone up-dated on performance up-grades as I plan to modify this car a little. A set of Weld racing Pro-Stars wheels are first to come along with a few engine related performance parts.
