UPDATE September 21, 2004

Over the weekend the weather was simply perfect so I decided to start priming a prepared section of the car. heres how it turned out....

Before

During

After

My super high tech equipment, a typical crappy $100 compressor and a 20 dollar spray gun. Hopefully I will get a really nice gravity feed gun during my school vacation.

Plenty of sanding and possibly another coat is in order, but its good for now.

One reason why Volvos are some of the safest cars on the road, side intrusion bars on all doors.

I will be priming and painting this too.

I will hopefully paint the entire car over the 2 week school break and make the car drivable.

UPDATE September 10, 2004

Its been a while since I updated this site. I have added a front spoiler from a GLE that will fit onto my exsisting commando bumper with just a few holes needing to be drilled. I have also went and bought from the wrecking yard a newer CPR, air mass meter, fuel accumulator, fuel pump, cold start injector and fuel injectors and the car runs perfectly.

I have removed my steering wheel because it has caused me too much trouble. At first I recieved a hub that was for a newer 240 and because of that it created a rather large gap between the hub and dash. I was not pleased with this so I reordered the original hub that I tried to order before and they sent another boss kit again for a newer 240 still leaving a gap. The employees were very rude and as a result I will not be doing buisness with Auto Barn in Mile End any time soon.

I am planning to start on more extensive body work in 2 weeks time when I get a 2 week break off of school. I am also planning to go to the wrecking yard and pick up my self a pair of front and rear sway bars off a later 240, thus replacing the early thin "pussy" sway bars.

Hi I live in Australia and this is my car, an Australian spec 1975 244 gl with a b21 fuel injected engine. I bought the car for $50.00 because the engine was siezed up beyond repair from an old guy my family knows. We bought the orange donor car with the good engine, for $350.00 off the side of the road. I have purchased 8 litres of CAPRICORN METALLIC GREEN a general motors holden color, this will be the volvo's new color.

RUNDOWN OF MY VOLVO

Nice volvo, though from what I've heard and read the PRV 6 is a bad motor, though I'm getting a 264 myself soon so I can't really talk, but the plan is to put a Leyland All alloy V8 on LPG in it, or something similar to make it legal and lighter. But bragging it's the same motor as the Delroen isn't a good thing either, (I love the delroen but not the motor).
