2006, has brought on a few new things to the car, we have installed a ford nine inch moser with a strange center section holding a detroit tru trac diff. 4.30 gearing to go with the new 28 inch M/T et streets. A 8 point S&W bar was installed to keep the track officials happy...door bars were clearenced for the arm rests..Super fitting roll cage, I would not ever go to anyone else now for one. The car still only could muster low 11`s with the new wieght of the saftey equipment so the motor needed a bit of a boost. I went with more cubes of course! the eagle 4.25 stroke crank went in with a set of the H beam rods, Luaniti 14.1 pistons and total seal gapless rounded out the 496 BBC. I did a little clean up on the already decade old Merlin`s they were treated to yet another set of new valves and of course they were clearenced for even more lift. The new roller pushes just over .700 and is still small enough to create plenty of Vac for the power brakes. The power steering system was ditched to save wieght as was the front crash bar, battery has been moved to the rear and the 700 has made way for the reverse manual th350 with a brake. Also needed was a bit more carb so the 750 went up on the auction block and it was replaced with a king demon 1090 Drag Race model. Subframes have been installed and new Ed Quay headers are on the way. although I got to 10.60 @ 130 with the swap headers of only a 1 7/8 diameter.
Ed Quays........2 1/8 x 4 collectors
The Headers really fit better than I expected, only problem was the dipstick is hindered by the #2 tube and the # 6 tube is tight to the starter, other than that a very good set of headers for the money. Coating is being applied as of right now, these pictures are of the headers after an hour or so of porting after spending a few hrs tig welding them completely. They were installed and ran on the engine for a short while to make sure no major leaks or fitment problems exist before dropping the bucks on coating them.

Dude the exhaust system looks killer, i'm in the process of trying to pick the correct setup for mine. Great job all around, definitely 5 star.
