This is the the first big block that we put in......

It was a 4 bolt 454 with kieth black 10 to 1`s...this engine had the merlin 310`s rectangle port heads....Many camshafts were installed in search of the right combo

Here are some pic`s of the engine in the machine

I must admit, a close friend of mine said "Watch dude, that big block will fit better that the small block" It is easier to work on than any of the small blocks that were in it prior!(Excluding that cruel joke of a header that hooker sells) but once it is fitted it works well!
Here are the pic`s of the custom exahust you`ll have to fab if using hooker super comps

Installed...

this is the result of losing two lobes of a flat tappet. Twice.

Here are some pictures of the machine
with the .100 over 454 2 bolt in the car
this motor was built to replace the previous 454 that had surcomed to all of the metal from the exterme engery cams that failed in it. This motor
sports a comp solid steet roller w/ .667 lift and .254 duration ,childs@alberts Z gap rings 1/16, 10.2 to 1`s, moroso`s 7 qt pan and pickup. plated hookers (prosses coatings, croswell MI.) billet hex adjust chain, 9inch non lock up converter and aluninium drive shaft!
these pictures also show the functional crowl induction air filter pan, it`s homemade for around twenty bucks and few hr`s of r@d.

This is a shot at the local track of the first 11 second run(with the first 454, vette converter, 4.10`s) I was notified of the saftey rules after this run! CANT HAVE A CAGE IN A STREET CAR? RIGHT!
