sleepingranger's 1993 Ford Ranger

Before the Ranger, I had a 1985 S10. It had a few mods from a small suspension lift and body lift, to a pro built T 5 transmission. Unfortunetly her day came, and she had to be replaced. I have very few pics to post of the lil' red truck, but here she is. Here is a short list of things this truck had: Edelbrock Torquer II Intake, 500 CFM 4 barrel Carb, Headman Headers, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, Low temp thermostat, Centerforce clutch, Custom built tranny, 31" Kumho M/T, Spray-in box liner as well as the same stereo in my Ranger.

How it came about.
Naturally, when my beloved S10 went to truck heaven, I had to look for a new one. Now, being the time of year it was (February) I was having a lot of difficulty. About a month went by and about 10 Auto Traders, I was still without a new toy. So i dig into my colection of Auto Traders, I must have looked through all of them about 5 times. Getting frustrated I throw them on the floor. Trying to help, my g/f picks one up and starts flipping through it. '5.0 CONVERSION' she reads. 'Come again", I say to her. '5.0 CONVERSION. 1993 Ford Ranger 4x4' 'Sweet, too bad it's a Ford' I say. I was a Diehard Chevy lover. I hated Ford. I was one of those guys that would rather walk than even ride in one. After some pushing and nagging from my g/f (typical g/f), I find myself in Milton On. I am pretty impressed with how clean the truck is, both inside and out. It had dual exhaust, a custom rear bumper, etc. etc. But what I couldn't get over was the fact that underneath the hood sat a 5.0. After a thorough check over, lots of consideration and a test drive (which blew me away I might add) I tell them I will be back the following weekend to pick it up. Here is a pic of my truck the day I went to test drive it.
