60thannivowner's 1999 Jeep Cherokee

THANKS TO A 1999 PLYMOUTH CARAVAN ON 01-08-2004 MY CAR IS NOW TOTALED! THEREFORE THIS PAGE IS NOW A TRIBUTE TO A GREAT AUTOMOBILE, AND MY FIRST JEEP.

Page's 2 and 3 have pictures.
It all started with an ugly as hell Honda Civic, that just wasn’t making the cut. Begging for a way out I met one dumbass car-salesman who agreed to pay me $4000 if I were to trade it in. This quickly led to see what inventory he had, what wasn’t much. After talking with him for a while he told me what was available on another lot, and two days later, driving up on the lot, there she was. It was a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Looking at the man I asked for a test drive. It was when I first pulled off the lot a gassed it that I felt the tremendous power of the inline-6 4.0. I was in shock and the best part was that this killer in disguise was all ready equipped with a full cat-back exhaust, K&N air filter, 30% window tint all around, and it was all in a fine as hell black pant job. Buying the car, I drove around for 2-3 months, with the factory equipped am/fm radio and cassette player, which became unbearable. I had to have something to play CD's and step it up a notch. With that being said and a hell of a lot of summer money collected I went to Norton's Car Stereo (the best in Charleston, SC) where my car was outfitted with a new JVC CD player and MTX speakers all around. Becoming broke I started looking around to see what I was going to do next. Being that my Jeep only has 2 wheel drive I decide not to jack it up and put swampers on it, or lower it and put 20’s on my ride, which is what everyone does. Because of this and a budget it became nearly impossible, until I returned to my Civic roots and decided to make it a street machine. This decision has turned out well I think, being equipped with 15x8 American Racing wheels and Michelin 230x70’s not only gave it a better stance, but better stopping distance, grip, and a smooth a hell ride. And just to tell everyone what's up I put a IT'S A JEEP THING...YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND sticker on the back.
