If you "stand the watch", thanks!. If you don't, thank someone that does.
I am active duty Coast Guard and my wife retired from the Coast Guard in 2007 after 20 yrs. The military is a great thing and I've been able to sail all over and was even deployed to the Northern Arabian Gulf and Umm Qasr, Iraq in early 2003 for Op Iraqi Freedom. My ship, the USCGC WALNUT, performed miscellaneous missions in the NAG and operated out of Umm Qasr while we replaced all the buoys that led from the NAG to Umm Qasr in the Kawhr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway so that humanitarian aid and military support ships could reach the port.

"Every ship can be a mine sweeper once."
I have the utmost respect for our "devil dogs, grunts, sailors, Coasties, and even flyboys and flygirls (Marines, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and Air Force), and of course their respective reserve counterparts.
If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them!
LET'S ROLL!

"You're number one"
THE AMERICAN FLAG
If you're displaying it, please observe proper flag etiquette. Torn and tattered flags should not be flown and should be replaced.
A quick internet search will give you the do's and don'ts for displaying our national ensign, the most recognizable symbol in the world.
