this is my car,a 1972 camaro r.s. it has 58,000 original miles. i am the third owner, the second owner let it sit outside for 15 years.it came from the factory with air conditioning,(which i removed for weight and space reasons) a 350 2 barrel, and the deluxe interior package which includes woodgrain accents and cloth seats, and it also was equipped with guages instead of idiot lights.it is a factory 4-speed car.all the sheet metal is stock, except for the common areas that always rust out,(behind the rear wheels, behind the front wheels, and the lower rear valance panel were rusted out pretty good, but that was the extent of it.the floor pans, front and rear, looked brand new when i pulled the carpet up.i have had this car completely torn apart, all the way to the dashboard and all the wiring being taken out.

the engine...it is a 355, with "492" camel hump heads that i ported in my basement, they are fitted with milodon stainless 1 piece 2.02"/1.60" valves.manley guideplates and rocker studs, and the rest of the valve train is comp cams including magnum roller tip 1.52 ratio rocker arms and a magnum 280H hydraulic cam with 230 degrees@.050" and .480" lift with matched valve springs.a holley 750 cfm dual feed/double pumper carb with mechanical secondaries sits atop a weiand team G intake and ignition is controlled by a mallory comp 9000 distributor and a mallory coil going to an msd 6al ignition box with the rev limiter set at a safe 6000 rpm since its a street car.exhaust is taken care of by hooker headers, with dual 2 1/2" pipes going to a pair of cheap mufflers and factory trans am tailpipes.cooling is taken care of by way of a stock clutch fan,and a 3-core brass and copper radiator, without a shroud and im running a 160 degree thermostat.all this connected to a muncie m-21 close ratio 4-speed going to a 10 bolt posi fitted with 3.73 gears

a pic of the heads, ready to bolt on

these are from desktop dyno 2000. they say i am making a peak HP of 368@5000 rpm and a peak torque of 413 lb./ft @3500 rpm
