Hey Everyone!!! Check out this site, its a CRX show in southern Ontario. I'll be there. If you have the weekend off, and don't mind the drive, go to this show. Camp out, get hammered with a bunch of other CRX owners, go for a cruise, its gonna be a wicked weekend. http://www.niagaracrxmeet.com/

I drive a 1987 Honda CRX. There's so much done to it, it's gonna take me a while to write it, so bear with me. Just to let you know , I did ALL the work on this car myself, along with some help from my old man and my friends, but its never been to a garage.
Where to start. OK, I bought the car for $800, and I bought another car for parts for $300, the one I'm driving is on the left (in the picure on the left)and I've done just about everything to it.onefasthondacrx's 1987 Honda CRXonefasthondacrx's 1987 Honda CRX
It was all rusted when I got it, so we cut out the rocker panels and the fenders, and we welded in new ones.onefasthondacrx's 1987 Honda CRXonefasthondacrx's 1987 Honda CRX
Lets start on the inside. I ripped out the entire interior, painted everything black, I have black corbeau racing seats, black leather wrap steering wheel, black/chome leather shifter, racing pedals, 60% tint, fiberglass back, with custom install of my sub, amp, and PS2, and there's an Integra center console, with a 6 inch flatscreen moulded in.
Outside, I have 15 inch Ford Escort rims, painted white, with 195/50R15 Kuhmo tyres. Custom made bodykit, (that I made myself, and I'm not telling how), painted white and baby blue. Custom-made spoiler brackets, and an aluminum wing. Custom 1995 Civic SI coilover conversion.
Under the hood is the best part. I have a 1987 Acura Integra motor, a D16A1. It's a DOHC engine, fuel injected.

My car was carburated, so I had to install a fuel pump, wiring harness, computer, new fuel lines etc. I painted the motor and put new seals in the entire motor.

Have an ACT clutch, accel wires and coil, custom made stage 3 axels with crx outers and integra inners, 2.25 inch exaust with high flow muffler, and ractive oval tip.
Another thing i did, was i bought MUGEN WIDEBODY fenders, for the back, glued them on, and moulded them in, then I repainted the whole car, plus added a sunroof while I was at it.
Another thing i did this past winter was i added in an rx7 rear swaybar to the axle of my car....works awesome.

I now have a T3 garret turbo in my car, with an RX7 intercooler, TCC blowoff valve, and vortec fuel management unit. I made the turbo header from a set of Hedman Chikara headers I had lying around, works great. I also change my headgasket, with an OEM FELPRO gasket, and cemented it to the block with VHS copper headgasket cement. It puts out about 8 lbs of boost. I Love it. There no better sound than hearing a turbo spoolin'.

Extra Information:
People have been asking me questions about my car, and I'm tired of answering the same questions every time, so i'll post them on here. If you have any questions, just ask, and I'll explain what I did.

COILOVER CONVERSION:
Actually it was pretty easy. Get a set of coil overs from any civic 89 or newer, they're all the same. Then, you need to get the top caps from the rear strut assembly from a 89 or new civic. Once you get them, pull out the bushing, and use a hammer to hit out the 2 studs, they just pop right out. Next, get a jig saw with a metal cutting blade, and cut a hole in the cap so that the tube part of the strut fits through it. It should be about a 1.5 inch hole, but just measure the strut. Then put the coil over adjuster, the spring, then the modified cap over the strut, and install it. Perfection. The reason for doing this is that the diameter of the coil over spring is a lot smaller than the stock spring, so you need the modified cap for something for the spring to rest on or else it just goes right up into the wheel well. If you don't understand, try it, then you'll see what I mean. I didn't do the front yet, but when I do, I'll let you know how I did it, give me a couple weeks.

ENGINE SWAP:
I hope your ready for this, its not an easy thing to do. Its a lot of work. Lets see. What you need to do is find an ENTIRE car. Make sure its a 1987 crx, not an 88 or 89, they're different. Your going to need the fuel pump from the teg, its an inline fuel pump, your going to have to run a new fuel line, and use your old fuel line as your return line. Your going to have to pull out the ENTIRE wiring harness out of the teg, and, from the 3 wiring plugs that plug into the computer, you need to follow all the wires, one by one, and weed out all the wires that you don't need, (find a good wiring diagram, I have one that I can scan and send you), until you end up with a nice clean wiring harness that just has to do with your computer. The motor mounts you need are the teg one off the tranny, the crx one on the back, and the crx one for drivers side, but for that last one, you'll need to cut a small notch in the mount, you'll understand when you try it. For the axels, you have two choices, you can either get new axels made with crx outers, and teg inters, or you can change the entire wheel bearing knuckles, from the teg to the crx, all the bolts line up. It all depends on what your funds are like. I went with the new axels, stage 3 racing axels because I had the money at the time. I got them made from a company called "axle systems", look them up on the net. Thats all I can think of for now. I had more problems when I did it because my donor car was automatic, and theres more to do when it comes to that. I also cleaned the whole motor, put new seals and gaskets where I could without going into the engine, painted the motor, put in a new clutch, new timing belt, painted all under the hood, etc. But the worst thing is by far the wiring harness. Take the whole thing out of the car, pull the dash out, and everything, DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES, bring the harness in your house, sit down, work slow, take your time, and go wire by wire. It took me 2 days to do, but can be done. Above all though, don't do it unless you have an entire donor car, don't just get it part by part, it will be to expensive, get a donor teg, and keep the car until your done the entire swap, till your motors running, you never know what you might need. If you find one thats automatic, don't hesatate to buy it, it will just cost a bit more, but it can be done, like I did. You'll just need to find a clutch, flywheel, tranny, and jack shaft. I bought them all used from a junk yard, except for the clutch of course. It took me 2 months to get everything ready, and 3 days to do the swap. And its worth it, because its fast. If you have any more questions, let me know. I hope I helped.
