Update 7-26-05
The Cold-Air-Box goes in to supliment the Ubercharger, its the equivelent of giving your Whipple a shot of Primetine Mist.

A few more close-up photos of the box and sealing foam.

Since the washer bottle was once in the space now occupied by the Cold-Air-Box it had to be relocated. What an opportunity to take advantage of all that unused real estate over on the driver side of the engine bay. A custom bracket had to be built to hold it in place.

Update 4-14-05
Get your sugar fix, the FM GOOBERCHARGER, melts on your Whipple, not in your hand.

24403's 1994 Mazda Miata

Some more photos post installation, a little more underhood detailing is in order.

A Miata wheelie.

24403's 1994 Mazda Miata

Some pictures taken durring the installation, the polished intake manifold looks good but isn't worth the trouble as very little of it is visible once the supercharger is mounted.

A few more pictures.

Update 12-8-04
Here are a few "before" close-ups of where the cases come together, note the small elevation changes.

This is the same area after being sanded, smoothed and polished.

A few more pictures of the supercharger. Those familiar with the Whipple unit will notice that the raised blocks or "plateaus" are now gone. This is where the Whipple Charger stickers used to be. Also the rear of blocks were smoothed out to make the two rear ribs continuous all the way around the unit.

The twin-cooler and related hardware has arrived and will be going in the car in a week or two.

Update 11-12-04
The Ubercharger intake comes back from the metal polisher. Only the top, front and sides were done because once installed most of the intake won't be visible anyway. The underside of the intake is now just bare aluminum.

Since the intercooler pipes are plain steel they have to be coated with somthing to prevent rust. I had mine powder coated silver, however if sometime in the future I get the itch I may get them chromed.

24403's 1994 Mazda Miata

The only thing missing from this picture is the Whipple, it goes to the polisher tomorrow.

FM's Ubercharger ordered on Friday the 13th August 2004. The countdown to 225 rwhp has begun!

Track Dog Racing heat sheild added on 8-18-04 to help keep radiant heat in check.

This is my other form of transportation for now: A GT LTS2000-DS.
Rock Shox triple clamp fork, 4 1/2 inches of travel front and rear tipping the scales at 29lbs. which is considered to be heavy by modern mountain bike standards, however this thing rides like a Cadillac.

24403's 1994 Mazda Miata

Only those familiar with FM will understand the connection here, of course my car is SUPERcharged.
