This is our toy,
a 1966 Chevy II Nova 2-door that is currently under restoration. The body was hit some time ago and all of the dammaged metal was replaced from a donor car and, some parts from the GM counter.
The car itself is a 5 passenger car with bench seats and was equipped from the factory with a 283 / Powerglide combo. When I bought the car, the engine was not running and the block had a 8" inch crack in it. The transmission was replaced with a manual 4-speed in its place. I removed the whole drivetrain and replaced it with a 1971 4-bolt 350
and a 200-4R overdrive transmission. The stock 3.08 gears were replaced with 4.10 gears and the rear end was rebuilt with a posi unit.
The interior will have a custom vynyl interior with matching front and rear door panels made at home.
I purchased some of this carboard door panel material from a local interior shop and traced the old panels onto the new carboard and proceeded from there. I covered the door panels with some heavy duty vynyl from a local shop that they use for boats and the fabric closey matches the original material.
The headliner, sail panels, rear package tray were all made from the same material.
