Welcome to my mini page. I bought my mini in November 2002. It is an original 1988 Austin Mini Designer other wise known as the mary quant car!!
A little back ground on my car. The Mini Designer is a limited edition car which was produced in the late 1980's to honour one of the greastest fashion icons:- Mary Quant. There were plans to call the designer the Mary Quant Mini but it was voted against it as it may put MEN off buting the car. so they called it the Designer and plastered it in flowers and stripes!!!!
The car was launched in 1988 in the colours white and black and only 2000 of the cars were produced in the UK.
This car is a typical girls car n i love it!! There are flowers n stripes all ova it!! The inside has black and white striped seats with red piping and are signed in red by the lady herself Mary Quant.
The car has a black carpet and brown door pannels and dash trimmings.
My fav thing is the steering wheel, it's mint!! It is brown leather with a black mary quant flower. GROOVY!! the only original item missing from my car when i bought it was the front badge but i managed to by one for ?5 from a lady who also owned a mini designer and was breaking it for parts.
