Fairlane62's 1962 Ford Fairlane

Update: 04/26/04
Well again she is up for sale/trade. The car just isnt... me i suppose. For Sale: Reduced price of $2300. Or trade for a nice running 1973 or older datsun 1200 or 510 (both must be coupe.) Get me on email or aim. Car is located in San Jose CA, runs and drives, but I wouldnt take her for a cross country venture hahaha. Anyone want to give her a good home? =)

New Carb! Yay! No more internal vacuum leak and is running like a champ. Starting to go thru general maintenance (replacing metal tubing with rubber, new plugs, new fuel filter). Also modified an edelbrock air cleaner... very bling bling. Just did it to clean up the engine compartment a bit and have a nice addition to the new carb.

Snapped a pic of the new carb and the super spiff vacuum line and brass fitting job for the distributer and another of the bling bling air cleaner :)

Fairlane62's 1962 Ford Fairlane The Story I picked her up present condition, which is: Straight body no rust to be found, running (needed to be timed, and needed a new carb) with interior looking like weedwackers were mating in the front and rear seats.

The body is extremely straight for its age and has very little surface rust in the wheel wells... i cant seem to find any anywhere else. The car has had 2 owners not including me, the man that bought it from factory in 63 and the previous owner who owned it for about a month and figured out he'd never have time to restore it.

She's a real "head turner"-even without a V8! Is it still FOR SALE? I wouldn't mind having another '62 Fairlane so my wife & I would have matching rides! She'll NOT get a V8-that is strictly for cruising! Let me know how it's coming along!
