*UPDATED 30AUG2007*
This is my 1993 Championship Yellow Mica Mazda RX-7 R1. One of only 300 CYM R1's sold in the US. Currently, It does not run due to a blown apex seal, caused by overheating issues from a blown-off radiator hose in the midst of a long race. Car is in Hawai'i, I'm in Virginia, so it will just sit, as it has for about 4 years now, waiting to be repaired. For now, enjoy these older pics and tell me what you think.
The front. This shows the fog lights I put in, and the mesh in the bumper opening. Still has the stock R1 Lip.
Closer shot of the fog light and front lip. If you don't know, R1's have dual oil coolers, one behind each of the smaller openings in the bumper. The fog lights I put do not affect the flow of air to them at all, as I made ducts routing air to them.

Hood popped showing off the infamous 13B-REW engine. Plus has the "sleepy eyes" going on.
Here we see the 13B-REW up close. The strut bar is a stock R1 Bar with 'RX-7' in the middle. Stock twin turbo's, with a stock intercooler.
Yes, these are 2 different filters, I know. The yellow one is a GReddy Arinx filter with custom pipe, the other is an APC filter and the heat shield is custom made. Originally I planned on getting the M2 performance intake kit, but later decided I would test a couple others before I made the final decision. I never ran it with 2 different filters!
Blitz SS blow-off valve. This is the 4th BOV that's been on this car. Had the HKS one, didn't like the way it leaked air. The Turbo XS didn't even open. the GReddy Type S worked the best, but I had a malfunctioning valve. Now I have the Blitz, and it works fine, sounds the best. It just took the longest to adjust to get it to work right and not leak.

Side view. Had a few decals, but they are gone now. 18" Rims on some low-pro tires.
Vertec VR-5 rims with Kumho Ecsta Supra tires. 18x8 in front with 235/45 tires and 18x9 in back with 245/40 tires. the brakes are stock Mazda 4pot. No need to upgrade these bad boys. And the suspension is Tokico Illumina 5-ways with Racing Beat springs. Stiffer and better ride than stock. Pulled a .93g on the skid pad with just this setup!
18's and too low ride hieght will do some pretty fucked up things. But whats worse is when you let someone you don't know try and roll your fenders and bring it back even worse than it was!
Apple Top wing. Almost exactly like the Veilside wing, except it has a LED brake light. I don't really care for it much.

This is the stock R1 wing. I plan on putting it back on pretty soon. have to get that hole fixed, and I'd like to get some risers for it to raise it about 2".
Rear shot. Shows the OBX-R muffler I had on it. The LED in the wing, and the sticker that everyone knows my car for, "HOT WHEELS." zit covers the holes from the 'RX-7' emblem.
The old OBX-R Muffler. This muffler usually comes with a 6 month warranty. But the store owner said that for the RX-7, it has no warranty. And that should have been a sign. The muffler sounded great! Quiet, almost stock, below 4k, and mean sounding above it with the secondary turbo kicking in. Four months after buying, the inside of it melted itself shut! POS!!!

Pop the rear hatch, and what do you get? a 10" Pioneer sub, 300watt Alpine amp, and a fire extinguisher painted to match the car! You can also see that the rest of the interior was painted to match.
Here is a closer shot of the Interior. It was painted to match the exterior. Mods I have are the Boost and Oil press. guages on the A-pillar, the water temp, oil temp, and volts gauges under the Eclipse CD player, the Autometer shift light on the steering column, the RAZO pedals, and the RAZO shift knob. I was going to get a Sparco steering wheel and drivers seat with a Takata Harness and custom made harness bar.
If you look close you can see that I was doing some work...
I was installing an older model GReddy Turbo Timer. I like this model because it's simple to use, and the styling of it is the best I have seen for my car.

Take the car to places like the Marina and Ala Moana Beach park, and I'll attract alot of attention. I remember I had a lady once ask if it was a Ferarri!! That made me laugh. A cop wrote me a parking ticket once, and didn't even know what the car was, so he wrote it down as a 2002 Toyota Celica! HAHA! I love this car.

At the end of the day, it goes under wraps every time.
