Archammer71's 1994 Ford RangerThis is my 1994 Ranger Splash. I bought it used in 1996 and have had it since. Currently it's pushing 140k on the origanal 4.0L V-6. It is used as a dailey driver, off road play, and for rescue and brush fire work with the locall volunteer fire department. It is one of only 4 4x4's at our station and besides the brush truck, the only off-road ready unit for the bad areas and during winter weather. Pictures here were taken in an area my department is responsible for for fire protection. The trail area is one where frequent ATV injuries occure and access is limited to smaller vehicles.
Archammer71's 1994 Ford Ranger The truck started off as a stock truck and had the 3" Rough Country suspention lift added about 4 years ago. That's when it all started to my wife's dismay. Rancho shocks and a Rancho steering stabalizer calmed the front down. 33x10.50x15 tires are keeping things up there. A Warn M8000 winch mounted on a Warn Transformer brush guard gets me past the things I can't drive through for now.

Western rock bars complement the sides and a hard Tonue cover from the local Leer topper dealer keeps things dry and locked. Planned future upgrades include an improved torque converted for the automatic transmission; 4.56 gears for the Dana 35 front axle and rear 8.8; a locker in the rear (not sure what type yet); and moving up to some BFG 33x9.50x15 All-Terrain TA tires.

Archammer71's 1994 Ford Ranger Just this weekend I finished installing the Hypertech computer chip before heading out to take these pics. It rounds out the cold air intake kit from Kurtz Kustom Filters and the Flowmaster exhaust with 3" custom tubing from the cat on back. Truck really seems to move now.
Archammer71's 1994 Ford Ranger Somewhere out there someone will ask, so I'll add it here. Being a firefighter/EMt, we are authorized lights and siren in this state. The Ranger is equipped with a Federal Signal JetStream lightbar (slightly modified by myself); front grill LED lights from Sound-Off; a deck LED from 911 Emergency Products; and a random headlight flasher. Controlling it all s a 200 watt Federal Signal PA400 siren/light controller with dual 100w sirens mounted to the brush guard. Also mounted is a 45 watt county VHF radio and an amature 2m/440cm radio. All this in a custom console mount done by myself (pics forthcoming). Rounding out the emergency gear is a chainsay, K-12 powersaw, axe, shovel, trauma med kit with oxygen kit, and self recovery kit. Not much room for more.

I would like to thank all the people at the Ranger Station.com for all there information that got me really fired up about keeping my Ranger. All the little fixes such as the yellowed headlight fix and the throtte cable fix were greatly appreciated. Not to mention the wealth of other info that told me exactly what I have on my rig. Way to go guys.
