boomrugby's 1965 Ford Falcon

The front corner of my 2 tone primered biznatch of a car. It was cold out so I took the pictures in my garage.

Alright, i'll get a start on telling about my car.
I have a 1965 ford falcon. This crazy mofo of a car is almost COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. Two door sedan and the whole bit. I have the standard of cheapest of them I believe. So yes, it must be probably the most economical of those that year. Since it was the economy car of that year from what i understand, my car really was the weenie of them. But it sure as hell can lay down some rubber. It'll surprise anyone. I have the 170 cube engine with the 3 on the tree. Some fun stuff there, especially when most people never seen such a kind of a shifting. I believe the interior was redone at one time, but not sure when, and it looks to be original. I have the original keys, bill of sale, owners manual, spare tire, bumper jack, trunk floor mat, basically the whole vehicle. Might be the 2nd paint job i'm stripping off. I'm the 3rd owner, as of January 10th of 2003. My dad found this beast from an elderly couple in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Which, i live in kansas city, mo, so i wasn't that far. But i put Marvel Mystery Oil in every tank of gas of this beauty, and it keeps it running beautiful. The only real work done to it is: rebuilt clutch, fixed radiator. Since have a good 'ol 65, ya get to see how many parts they still 'might' make for the vehicle anymore. I got new tires on this, and boy was i getting pissed. It's hard to find tires with 185/70/13 in white walls. I found some in 1 of 12 places, and for $311 after the stupid mechanic told me i couldnt have the cheaper ones b/c they were available after i already brought my car up to where they said they had them. That bastard. I got screwed over for just wanting that classic look of beautiful white wall tires on my car.
This lil SOB of mine takes all the elements of nature, and it's b/c i can't afford another vehicle. It's not easy having to drive this every day and all, but I sure do love getting all the attention I do as i drive this everywhere. I get my little problems with it here and there, but very damn luckily, they aint that hard to fix. I just wish i really had enough money as a safety in case something big goes wrong with it. I dont know, that's a car for ya, gotta love 'em and all they bring to the table. This car was also stored for about 2 years, and i'm the 3rd owner. But, seeing how beautifully it funs, and having just hit 110K miles the other week, it's just magnificent. Yet, i seen to put atleast a thousand miles on it a month, and it's starting to be more like 1,500 since i found a pertty lil lady out somewhere that takes me a bit of a distance to drive to. It's not like i'm all 'whoopeeee, ford' or nothin, it's just that I'm not the greatest fan of them. I admit, I have one, but I'm a fan of the older ones. As I say, the newer ones could just go down the crapper and i could care less. Might be fun to drive or whatever, but they've never really caught my eye. GOTTA LOVE A CHEVY.

Nice car.I have a tip to give you.*Never put undercoating on the bottom of a car.*If you have any interior water leaks(and all cars do)the undercoating will seal floor and hold all that water in there until the floor is completely rusted out.Better to just paint the bottom of car. Nearly 100% of floor rust comes from the inside. If you want to use undercoating, put it on the inside too. However it is best to not use it.
