Engine & Drivetrain
This is the engine that is currently in the car. It's a GM Goodwrench 350 that puts out about 260 horsepower. The 350 will be eventually replaced with a big block 396 which I recently purchased (its about a 400hp motor). Right now, the engine is exactly how it was when I got it except I have replaced the standard paper air filter element with a cleanable K&N Air Filter, it is a 14"x3" round element, and I have also added a chrome air filter tin. I placed a factory style 350/325hp sticker on the air cleaner as well (I know that my engine doesn't have 325hp, nor was there a 325hp 350 engine avilable for the '69 Camaro-but I like the factory look of the sticker).
At one time, this car had a factory A/C system in it (as can be seen in the pictures). Once the new engine has been put in, I plan to install an air conditioning system.
The rest if the drivetrain consists of the original equipment that came with the car. The transmission is a standard T/H350 3-speed automatic. The rear end is a 8.2 10-bolt nonposi unit with 3.08:1 gears. The rear end will be changed when the new engine is put in.
