Intro

Ok, let me just introduce myself. My name is Mario, I live in Guetersloh, Germany. My absolute passion, are US-Cars. I Love them. My dreamcar is 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee... But there are so much hot cars I wanna own someday. My first car was a 1994 Chevrolet S-10. Biggest Mistake was to sell it, but the insurance was too high, so now my daily driver is a VW Jetta 3, over here known as VW Vento. While I was still having my S-Dime, I was on ebay, and there I saw this 1982 Z-28. Really bad paint, engine was runnin', but car wasn't really used for 10 years. Just sometimes a few kilometers. So right now I just got 138k on it. But back to ebay, maybe I am a little bit curiously. I just wanted to know what was the highest bid, well, it was a little bit lower than I thought...
So, as I realized what I did, my name was on top off the bidding list,5 min before it was over. Damn. On things I really want to have, in this last 5 min, there comes sooo much bids. Not in this case. In the end, I could call me the owner of a 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28, which wasn't really in the shape to drive the 500km to my home. But not everything was bad about that, first thing, I got an V8. The smile I had on my face, you couldn't had taken away with a hammer. and second thing, it wasn't really expensive.
But, how do I get this thing to my house???
Well a trailer was quick organized, but what should pull this thing. My car didn't have trailer coupling, and dad's car couldn't pull that weight. Hmm, my buddy said, let's take our Volvo, he gets that. Volvo? They are like tanks, so he make it.
The drive to the car, wasn't a big deal.
Arrived there, picked it up, and back to my town. Well, I thought so its gonna be. But it wasn't. I drived on the autobahn. 60km/h, 70km/h, 80km/h...OH F***. Suddently the car was rolling, over all three traces. I just thought...Oh my god. Thats it. Don't know how, but I could get it back under my control. The next truck stop, I stopped. And my only thought was, you don't drive that stuff, with out damages 500km back... Unfortunately there was no other way to get home. So, we went back home, with a top speed of 60km/h. Trucks were passin' as by like there some kind of super sports cars. And for people, who got NO speedlimits on their autobahn, that is very tough...After the trip, I lokked for towing capacity of the Volvo we had to pull the trailer. Well, we were about 650kg to heavy, thats why it was so shitty to drive.
After a long, long drive I finally made it back to me home.
Since then it was standing in my driveway for about a year, without doin' any major things. But one nice day I thought, the V8 had to roar again... I ordered a lot of parts in the states, listed on page 2. Right now the engine is nearly completed. Next step is puttin' a TH350 in, and mount Polyurethan suspension parts for better handling. And I think I gonna paint it flat black, for now. Later I wanna paint it maybe some kind of darker blue or bordeaux red...
We'll see.

A truck stop at the way home...

Hey whats up, I am from the us, but I am living in Germany. I have a 86 camaro, but I am writing you, because I have a lot of hook-ups in the states and in Germany; maybe I can help you. I have an old 383 stroker crank, pistons and rods. The crank does need to be machined, but this set up with your heads will make about 450 hp
Thanks Tom

Pretty cool! I like what you have done so far with the engine mods! Good luck with the rest of the car... I know thta parts must be hard to come by over there! Keep up the great work on it!
