Chrome finish hubcaps soon to be replaced with 16 inch Konigs and the 2.2L Import eating engine:)
I think i may have found a tranny that will work in my Sonata and if so ill have it on the road in a few weeks. Here are some pics of it at the garage where it is at. These pictures were took with a disposable camera but my scanner wouldnt work so i took pictures of them with a digital camera to get them up here so the color is a little messed up.

Hello. This is the page for my 1993 Hyundai Sonata. As of now the car is bone stock, but i have many modifications in mind for the future. The car was fast stock and reached speeds over 95 MPH while racing against a 1985 Chevrolet Comaro on a local 4-lane high way (we won). But that was before the transmission and torque convertor went out. It has not been driven since then and is curently setting in a junkyard near my house. I have a transmission lined up ready to go in the car. The new transmission is in another 1993 sonata that my dads friend gave to him because the engine is shot and he lost the title for it. The donar car is black and has a sun roof, and mine is a gold color and has no sun roof. As for the mods, i plan on putting on a body kit from a 1998 Nissan 240SX, aluminum or carbon fiber rear wing, upgraded wheel and tire size, several inch drop (im not sure how much yet). And also i plan on putting in a air bag suspension to help with the drop. For the interior i plan on sparco racing seats, racing steering wheel, new gauges, fiberglass door panles and dash cover, and a custom sound system. If i can find the parts, I also plan on completely redoing the engine with custom headers, custom intake, high flow air filter, light weight lifters, valves, and pistons, high performance crank shaft and cam shaft, turbo charger, intercooler mounted in the front lip of the body kit, spark plugs and plug wires, and also a custom exaust system to help the engine breath better. I hope to have the new transmission swaped in the next few weeks,so that i can get started on the exaust system, but it will be hard to do alone since it is a transversly mounted engine. The only problem with all of these modifications is the cost of the parts. Because i have very little money the car will take a long time to complete. If the money gets really tight i may have to leave the sound system as is. This is only because i dont care about the sound that much. If you have any ideas about any other modifications i should do or have a suggestion on the new paint color just leave me a message and tell me what you think. It will be greatly appreciated.
