First Weeks Of Ownership

Like I said in on the first page the car went strait to the paint shop. While in there I had all new steel welded in where there was any speck of rust. When the car was purchased the power antenna was broken and broken off. So I had it removed and welded over. The front bumper was missing the front lip and there was a crack on the bottom of the air dam, and a quarter size hole in the bumper molding right above the drivers side bumper light.

I found a used bumper in perfect shape with the front lip and steel support for $175. That was installed at the body shop and had the license plate mounts taken off and plate clips filled. I had all trim and moldings painted with the factory colour (Flint Black Metallic) and I had the idea of adding red pearl. The body shop used House Of Colours paint on the car. After many trips to the shop to see the progress I was amazed what was getting done for the price.

After the entire job was done they wet/water sanded the entire car for me for no extra charge. So from the time I took the car in and had everything done and was driving it again it was $1850 after tax. I was shocked with the work that was done. I knew they were good but not this good. I didn?t want them to add to much pearl to the paint because I just wanted to notice it when you were right next to it.
