These soft-cover 44 page booklet measuring 8.5” x 5.5” Printed by General Motors Holden Australia, was designed for the knew owner of the FX-FJ Holden when purchased off a GMH Dealer to help with the details of the car’s controls and instruments, general lubrication details , care and maintenance and electrical system. Also Contains the Holden Mechanic’s Guide, which details the requirements for tune-up, engine, chassis & torque specifications as well as steering & use of torque wench + more.  

Rodney Smiths FJ Holden Panel Van fitted with Bumperettes.

                            

Very Rare GMH Nasco Bumperettes were designed an made for the FX-FJ Holden/Vauxhall model E Utes/Panel Vans to protection the rear of the vehicle, used as well for a step up bar. There quite rare to find fitted to a Holden these days.As you will see I have above articles out of a April 1954 Motor Manual addvertising the Bumperttes.

Nasco VH24 Power Brake. This helped the FJ Holden to stop a little quicker.For they were manufactured with drum brakes all round.

The FJ Holden was manufactured with a 132 grey motor.Funny thing is they never had a oil filter compartment .So this was another accessory from AC for the grey motor.A by-pass oil filter kit.

Many think the FX-FJ Holden Accessory Horn Ring was bought out by Nasco. As you will see it was'nt, Wibroc did.

 

 

Nasco Lion Door Handle Scratch plates, designed to suit the FJ Holden.

 

 

One of these rare GMH plates was placed on the front of the Clyde 6 volt batteries. Clyde was the manufacture of all batteries that were fitted to a knew FX/FJ Holden before leaving the factory.

 

 

Wrench cylinder head bolt tool. Designed to tighten the cylinder head bolts of the grey motor.

 

FJ REAR BRAKE HUB TOOL. Have you ever gone to remove your rear brake drums and found no thead where you screw on the puller for it's damaged? Well this puller eliminates that problem. The puller legs are tightened up under the wheel nuts on 3 studs.The larg wing nut is tightened. The centre bolt cracked with a hammer and the hub comes off.

 

 

 

The FJ Holden never had indicators fitted. When it was made legal to have them fitted , Nasco bought these out. You removed the reflector from the back fins on the guards and replaced it with the indicator lense. Very rare today.

 

 

 

Nasco Poli Mop. To clean the dust of your car. A rare find today.

 

 

 

NASCO bottle of Poli-Mop Oil.Part # M31637. It was very lightly sprinkled onto a car body, normally in a showroom, and then a special soft mop (Poli-Mop) dusted over the car through the oil.The oil is designed to be thin enough to spread easily over the surface of paint to enhance the gloss.

 Nasco quoter window locks. This set were made only to fit the 48-215 and the FJ Holden doors.

 

Nasco Anti-Freeze Tin which provided protection against frost,rust and corrosion on the old GMH motors.

 

The Holden Grey Motor Tappets were quite noisy. So a company designed a solution. It was a plastic cap that fit over the Tappets. Not sure if it worked but!!!

 

 Old GMH compliance plate. I think this was fitted to a GM Ute as it was with a tare weigth compliance plate as well. Not shore what model but she is pretty rare.

 

 This Compliance plate was fitted to an early Holden, stating the vehicle was sold and serviced by a Authorised Dealer this one being Rothwell and Cullen of NSW.

  

 

 FJ Holden Ute and Panelvan weight compliance plate. This was fitted on the passanger side of the engine bays fire wall under the model compliance plate.

 

 One very rare genuine Australian NASCO gas producer brass badge 11cm x 7.5cm .Product of "GENERAL MOTORS HOLDENS LTD".

 

 Holden FX - FJ SYDNEY ATKINSON GLOVE BOX BADGE measuring 7.5cm x 3.5cm .Different badges where commonly placed on the glove box lid either from the company that sold the vehicle (second hand) or from the company that serviced it regally.

 

 NASCO HYDRAULIC HOIST PLATE. 6 inches by 4 inches.

Holden FX - FJ Supplied By "State Motors Adelaide".Again this would of been placed on the Glove Box lid.Measures 6cm x 2.5cm ,note the phone # W1851.

 Old Metal Holden Car Badge. Appears to have a design of a winged person above a collection of shields, and the words 'Holden Body' at the bottom.45mm long x 21mm wide.

NASCO Enamel Lapel Badge. Been told that it is from the 60s an all employees wore one. Measures approx 5cms x 2cms .On the back it reads: MILLER,Sydney.

 

 

 

 

Holden Nasco Shock Absorbers 1940's 50's .One package has M3309 which is not a listed number in NASCO master up to 1967. The shocks have number 7409995 on them which is also not in the master parts book. Very strange !

 

 

Rare Holden FJ and 48/215 seat cover swatch book, from NASCO (National Automotive Service Company) circa about 1948.Size being 175mm x 100mm.
It also covers all Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Vauxhall vehicles of the period.

  

FJ Holden Raffle Ticket dated 1954 for the "Patriotic Fund State Raffle No.3" for the Australian Legion of Ex Servicemen and Women.First prize being a 1953 Holden Special.Size is 142mm x 94mm.

 

 

Bathurst Motors Holden Dealer advertising there company which is featuring the FJ Holden on the drinks coasters.Size is about 8cm across.

 

Old Pint Milk Bottle, which advertises "Purnell Motors Used Cars".The car featured in the ad is the iconic FJ Holden. Here it is shown as an illustration of one of Purnell's quality used vehicles. The bottle itself is a Dairy Farmer's Co-op Milk Co one. On the base is a logo, which consists of large A with a G and an M contained within it, while underneath this is IS 522 3. On the back of the bottle in red are the instructions "Keep Milk Out of Sunlight" and a phone number for milk ads. Height of the bottle is 21cm.

 

 

Exceptionally rare 750ml bottle of port.Was a limited release being for the 30th Commemorative year of the production of the first Holden Motor Car .Featuring the FJ Holden emblem on the label.
