I originally bought the car in Georgia, it cost me about $300 I thought that was a really good price for its condition. But when I got it home I saw what really had to be done. I yanked the stock 6 cylinder and put a 289 v8 hipo. I had to replace both floor pans and quarter panels. I removed the cale vent and smoothed it over. I removed the old gas cap and welded in a gas door off a late model ford probe. The engine is bored 30 over and i put a new cam in. I lowerd it about 2 inches and put 16inch American Racing Torq Thrust 2s.I painted it in a two tone prowler orange over prowler silver with a small pinstrip. I shaved all the doorhandles emblems and key holes. I added a fiberglass shelby hood. I showed the car for the first time at the Hot Rod Nationals in June and won the Slick and Smooth award.
This is a picture of my car at the Hot Rod Nationals. This is the picture that showed up in the september 2003 issue of the Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette after winning the award.(pg24)

If any of yall are wonderen why i care so much about the award its b/c i was competing aginst 7000 other top notch hot rods, and because this award is the same award my dad first won at the same car show in 1995. And also b/c all the work was done by me, my dad of course helped with the paint but that was the biggest achievment of my life.
