white faced overlays

below are pictures of my climate control with a white faced overlay and my shift indicator with a white faced overlay. I got these off of ebay for about 7 bucks.I'm goign to be illuminating it with a 194 Xenon blue bulb, if I order anymore 194 LED lights I might upgrade to those, as they are brighter, but deeper blue, dont wear in color and last a long time.

Below are white faced gauges I got off of ebay as well. they are AWSOME, simple to install compared to others, as these you dont have to adhire to the gauges, and I put these on without taking the needles off.

******** problem with overlays!!!!!!!***********

well for those of you who might have encoutered this problem as wellf or the glow gauges. the NEEDLES dont glow anymore. well for me seing as how I took all my bulbs out. so what to do? well you can either put the color of bulbs you want the needles to glow in there, IE red 194 LED bulbs I woudl recomend

or take yoru gauges apart. and take out the actual gauge face which has the clear plastic on the back. you will see how the light gets bent and shone up to the needle and reflected in there, what I did was drill a hole in there and install a RED LED in there.

but you MUST(total difference in illumination) take the needles off, scrape them with a racer knife(the back) and that ugly yellow will come off, go get some modling paint, testos, and paint the TIPS red, like you will see above, so you can see them during the day, and then the rest of the needle WHITE< so when the lights are on, and the LED"S are shining in, the white illiminates best

***notice the red tips****
