Engine Bay - Snorkel, Battery Terminals, Painting, Polishing
Keeping the engine bay clean and neat is as important as keeping the exterior clean. You will also keep it in top performing shape by detecting leaks and breaks early with the regular detailing of your engine. A clean engine runs cooler and performs better.

I installed a K&N drop-in filter, removed the white silencer, and masked off the baffle in the snorkel. I also cleaned the airbox and applied a nice shine to the exterior portions.
You can see the right side (external portion) of the snorkel looks a lot nicer than the untreated left side (internal portion).

The factory battery terminals had to go; they are pretty ugly and leave a lot exposed.

Some Stinger Platinum battery terminals really dress-up the engine compartment, leave no exposed contacts, and are less prone to corrosion.

Brasso works wonders. The left (front) portion of these A/C lines is polished, as is the radiator cap and cruise control cylinder. All black parts get a satin shine.

To add distinction, I made the intake manifold letters display more prominently by painting them Tangerine Pearlcoat to match the body colour.
