This is my 71 VW Beetle, if you can really call it that.

This humble bug (in this picture any way) is powered by a high revving 283ci v8 chevrolet. This engine with some good highway gears pushed this car up to 165MPH, the highest speed it had ever hit.
Unfortunately the new 350 will not rev out enough to hit speeds like that again, but light to light acceleration should improve significantly, providing it can hook up.

Besides the need for end caps on the dash, where it has been cut to fit, and the lovely carpet, the 240Z dash fitted with a full set of Stewart Warner mechanical gauges looks not too bad inside the beetle.

This is an interesting comparison of how the bug looks compared to it's stock counterpart.
