once the lift was all in place it was discovered that the stock steering(shown below) wasnt going to work even with a skyjacker drop pitman arm

to fix this problem we bored the knuckles out from the top to fit big one ton tie rod ends which now runs from knuckle to knuckle. from there we bored out the tie rod and pitman arm to fit chevy ends, that are on the custom drag link. doing all of this required major cutting of the brackets on the axle and the lower sway bar mounts had to be removed. also a trac bar had to be made which fit in the bolt on axle bracket.Jeepspeeder's 1985 Jeep Cherokee Red Lion, PA Customized with Pioneer Head Unit, Flex-a-lite Engine Comps., Borla Exhaust, American Racing Wheels, Sunpro Gauges - 29
here is how my new steering worked out.

Jeepspeeder's 1985 Jeep Cherokee Red Lion, PA Customized with Pioneer Head Unit, Flex-a-lite Engine Comps., Borla Exhaust, American Racing Wheels, Sunpro Gauges - 7i opted to run thirty-two inch mud kings(i was only planning on 6 inches of lift when i bought the tires) on 15x10 black steel Keystone Daytona wheels.
