Finally some work is getting done
Decided to give the ole Z a tune up. Removed the Thermostat housing, and to my suprise. GUNK!! Nasty brown gunk.

Well, now is as good a time as any to just start the disassembly process. I removed the hood, front bumper, radiator, fan, air filter housing, and the AFM. Lots of nice room now to work on the belts and pulleys, and to get all those vacuume hoses and silly smog junk out of the way.
UPDATE: 7/23/05
I've gotten some more work done. Removed the A/C compressor, alt, power steering pump, ect.... Time to pull the engine. But of coarse there was a problem. I couldn't get the exhaust bolts out of the collector. Oh, well, it's nothing that a cut off wheel won't solve.
Now getting the sucker out. I'm pretty sure I got everything disconnected.

Doing this by yourself is possible, but not all that much fun. Especially when you've never done this before. But I managed to get it out without snagging stuff and doing too much damage.

I wish I had this much room to work with normally.
Everything masked, sanded, sealed ect... The battery is going to be relocated to the hatch to make room for other goodies later on. A lot cleaner than the same pic above.

And here's the bay with the base and clear shot. I know it would have just been easier to remove all the hardlines and other hardware, but I'm on a time crunch. I'll do a more thourogh job next time hehe.

Some shots of the Engine Bay with the brake booster painted and the engine temporarely dropped in.
