Here's my girl. We've been together for a long time now. Don't look to hard or I might get defensive.

award280's 1983 Datsun 280ZXThis first pic is actually my second '83. It was taken at the '02 MSA show in CA. That was a blast. Met a lot of nice people and saw some nice rides. Unfortunatly, she is no longer with us.

Here are a few pics of my girl in her glory days. First pic was when I first got her when I was 17. Second was prolly about 4 or 5 years ago when I was in college in West Texas. She has a lot more miles now and is no longer my daily driver.

Some more recent pics of the ole'girl. A bit worse for wear but all in all not too bad. How many people can say that thier 274k original mile Z can still push 150psi across all cylinders with the factory pistons and rings. God I love these cars.

Hey. Love your engine page. It's fun to look at pictures of the process instead of only the final result. Nice to hear that a 280 engine is hard to wear down. What are two S.U. carburettors doing on an 83 ZX ? My wife and I had a Volvo 1800 with S.U. carbs, and I really got tired of them, we switched to weber, and I promised myself never to use S.U. again. Well good luck ! Perhaps they run better in a warm dry climate.

Very nice, very nice! And I hear you on having more room in the engine compartment lol. I hate working on anything on my car (I get frustrated easily). Even changing the oil is a pain. Anyway I love both your Datsuns, maybe one day I'll have one...
