My fairlane has a 5 Litre 302 Windsor backed C4 gearbox.
It now has a 320 Holley that has been built up with massive jets and pumps so that it can perform as good as a 600 Holley. It also has a 2 inch twin exhaust system with 1 Flowmaster Sports Muffler on each pipe.

I bought the car in April 2003 from a lady whose father had owned the car since new, I only payed $1100. It was completely stock, no engine, body or interior upgrade at all.
THE DAY I GOT MY CAR

The car had problems which weren't hard or expensive to fix
The brake system was stuffed, The brake booster and master cylinder were worn out and the left front caliper was ceased, the rear wheel cylinder were leaking and MELTED (yer melted) and the brake shoes were completely worn out. the original carby had problems (unknown), there were holes around welds on the original single pipe exhaust, there were gaskets split on the motor and the gearbox. I needed to do a tune-up because it hadn't been done for about 2-3 years (the points were fucked, the dizzy cap, rotor button, plugs, leads, condenser, timing etc. So i had it had problems. the car also had rust were all of the primer is only small amounts. It had a torn vinyl roof which i ripped off and i am getting ready to paint it when i can afford it. I have completely overhauled the brake system with everything replaces. the Brake Booster, Master cylinder, Brade calipers (now XC falcon Caliper because they are a better design), brake pads, wheel cyclinder and brake shoes in the rear). The plan is to make the car stop (Because it never used to because the whole system was completely worn out) .With everything new it stops extremly well so it was well worth the expense.

Considering all these things were wrong the car was a reasonably good buy. It also had different mag wheels on it, the wheels on it were my parents which are now mine. I have spent about $700 to get it to this stage and i had it valued by a collector and he said i could get about $3500-$4500 for it but it isn't for sale.

ALL I NEED NOW IS TO PUT REGESTRATION ON IT AND IL BE CRUZIN AROUND

I will keep up-to-date with the progress, so visit me back soon.
Email me at medavid86@hotmail.com to tell me what you think.

These are pics of my fairlane in progress to the moment, i keep sending new pic when i get them.

Very nice. I wish we all could have gotten easily workable cars like that. Then again, I guess the more work, the more fun it is, and the more you feel proud about it when you show it off. Good luck with 'er.
