_______________________________________Introduction________________________________________

This was then,
This is now,
This would have been its future if I didn't sell it.
This is what i'm driving now to replace the Explorer, a 2001 Ford F150 Lariat supercrew 4x4.

year: 2002
make: Ford
model: Explorer Sport
color: Silver Birch metallic ext/ graphite int.
engine: 4.0L V6 244cu 203hp 4400rpm 237lbs torque 2800rpm with electronic fuel injection.
Transmission: 5 speed automatic
condition: Very nice vehicle. Modified and accessorize amazingly. Had to sell it because the body needed $5,000 into repairs.

Standard features: leather wrap tilt steering wheel, driver and passenger airbags, graphite grey interior, Silver Birch exterior, lower console with removable sport bag, rear cargo cover shade, ash trey, cloth upolstry no headrest in front, CD player am/fm cassette, Goodyear Wrangler all season tires.

Optional features: Automatic tranmission, rear window defroster, fog lamps, 4WD, privacy glass, front plate bracket, 16x7 inch 5 spoke cast aluminum sport rims.

Modifications: Heres what i've done to it... window weather deflectors, clear corners with clear bulbs, new full sized funtional console, power leather seats with adjustable headrests, silver birch rear slotted taillight covers, Trenz billet grill, custom third brakelight decal, custom front flame emblem to replace stock ugly one. A very clean Explorer, but I crashed it on November 25th, 2004 slid on ice and went into a ditch, i was going 35mph too. Not a scratch inside though interior is perfect. Oil is changed when needed, maintain regulary. Its been dented on the rear fenders ( I came out the mall and looks like somebody hit it with a cart... Must have been a Ford hater ). Its been hated on by the local haters, dents, scathes... But I took very good care of it. This Explorer never knew what its ash trey & cup holders are for lol. Never had any food or drinks withing 20 yards, still badly in need of repairs... But still for a 3 year old vehicle its in a nice condition.

How I got this Explorer. My brother needed a new vehicle in Febuary 2002 and had a liking to the new style of the Explorer Sports. He ordered the Explorer in March '02 & picked it up when it arrived at the local Ford dealership on April 8th 2002. While it waited it was in the showroom the whole time. Very safe keeping huh? Back in October 2002 my brother bought a brand new 50th anni '03 Corvette and gave me this Explorer. I was 14 when i got this vehicle. The warrenty expired back in 2004 and the insurance is still in his name building more and more $$$ so its all good now. This was my first and favorite car until I got the 1986 Trans Am restored and 529 horsepower, got the 1984 Trans Am and made a KITT replica out of it, got the red 2000 Trans Am cause I love those 4th gens, & got the black 2002 Trans Am because I love them in black, its a 6 speed manual, & its low 800 miles and it still smells new. Back in December '03 I found out about this site, created a page. Then in March '04 I decided to keep it going, some people hate this SUV, but it still made a great daily ride, I enjoy'd having it... But a new Ford F150 Lariat came to take its place. Well heres the Explroer. Enjoy...

These pics are from the showroom back in 2002. My bro removed the grey pin stripes about a week after he got the X.

April 2004:
These pics were taken by a film camera with bad film in it so thats why they look bad. Here the X when the only mod was the front plate and barb wire plate frames. Also the red Trans Am next to it is his new buddy, a 1986 model. Check out page#4 see what it looks like now, way more Beauttiful.

Stock rims look cool. The Sport is equipped with the premium sport group pkg 16" 5 spoke cast aluminum wheels, fog lamps, tow hooks, 4.10 slipped axle... the exterior goods ) I feel lucky I got these I seen what most sports stock rims look like.

June 2004:
New clear corners with custom clear bulbs, they look clear, and glow orange.

lowered the wiperblades about a half inch.

Heres the very clean 4.0L V6. Its a 244 cubic inch 203 horsepower engine which is ok I guess, It cant compare with one of my high performance Trans Ams though.

August 2004:

New custom third brakelight decal, the brakelights new look.

New slotted taillight covers painted to match the bodys color.

New mesh grilles came in, they suck & look awful, but they'll do temporarilly

October 2004:
Heres a pic of me next to the X.

Look like anything changed?

Yes something did change, I got 5% tinted windows ( excluding windshield and doors so I can see at night ).

I got new PIAA lighting 9000 series star white bulbs.

November 2004:

Heres some last pics of it clean and shiny before Fall ends and the cold winter begins.

haha looks like the X and I are ready for business lol.

Nice shine!

January 2005:

Bad news... I slid on ice and crashed into a ditch.. I tried to fix what i could. Heres some of what I couldn't fix by myself, due to the frame is bent and I need a new front bumper.

As you can see, the plate and braket is gone, it got ripped off in pieces, bumper got chiped from rocks, pushed in the bumper in a bit and the corners near the wheel wells are sticking out a bit.

The hood shuts wrong because the frame is twisted, ending at the firewall, the passenger door doesn't always shut correctly.

February 2005:

Heres some snow pics. It was 11:30p.m. one night and I said in a few hours i'll get some pics of it, then it snowed at about 2:30a.m. and I got pics of it covered up in snow.

March 2005:

I got some more night shots. The PIAA lighting bulbs sure make a difference in them headlights and fogs!

Back in September I put blue bulbs under the door mirrors. I could never get a good pic of them but this is as good as a pic i can get

Some better pics of the brakelight decal.

April 2005:

April is a bad month for weather, it usually always rains, well so far this month its been great so i'll get the good pics while I can.

May 2005

Its been really cold in the early a.m. today is May 4th and I got a pic of the Explorer in the frost. Funny how the windows that aren't tinted look green.

Oh hell yeah, it doesn't look too bad in the sun huh?

3 years old and the rims are still in nice condition. Too bad for that scratch on the fender though...

The engine got really dirty over the winter.

Damn that bright gleam of sunlight on the shiny windshield is blinding me, lol.

Later this month this grill will be gone and rerplaced it a Billet grill!

I was running late so I decided to go 60mph on a dirt road after it rained...

June 2005

Billet Grill installed! These are pretty nice lawn pics too.

July 2005

I got a new custom front Ford emblem! It has a flame design with a black background. It looks way better than the stock emblem.

August 2005

Well... My Explorer has now come to a end for me. I cant pay off the body damage because I have 4 Trans Ams sucking me dry but deserving it. So I'm selling the Explorer & bought a 2001 Ford F150 Lariat. Its a awesome truck! But I'm really gonna miss the Explorer it was my very 1st ride I got it when I was 14...

September 2005

Heres my new truck. Its a 2001 Ford F150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4. It has every option available for a '01 Lariat exept for the moonroof & 12 disk cd changer. Other than that, its comfortable, power heated seats, tan leather captains bucket chairs, 17" chrome clad rims, and more.

What a shine! Stock 17" chrome clad rims wrapped with brand new Goodyear Wranglers!

Yeah Triton V8 power, 260 horsepower & 350 lbs of torque, 4 speed automatic heavy duty transmission with overdrive

Now for some new car scent! Tan leather seating interior with power captains chairs & Lariat embroidery, big center console, AM/FM/CD, overhead console with compass & temperature readout, automatic headlight activation at dark ( when the switch is turned ), power adjustable pedals,

Lariat in the headrests.

In the compass pic its not 140 degrees, just what its like when it starts up.

Headlights control, dash dimmer, & power adjustable pedals control button.

Ahh those comfortable rear seats.

With a built in console in the seat, holds 2 cups & is a arm rest. Never have to worry about any cups ever being in this truck.

Rear seats folded down

June 2004:

Breath in deep you gotta love that new car scent :)

Some of the interior shots were taken in a parking lot because I had just bought the camera and I wanted to load it up and develope its first role just to make sure I was satisfied, and as you can see its awesome and it takes pretty nice pics.

July 2004:
More interior pics.

If this was one of my shiny Trans Ams this cop would have pulled me over for being to shiny lol.

The gauges, on the right its at 75mph on the highway

Stock headunit and A/C controls.

I got a moonroof ( like the stock option ) installed by the professionals by the dealership.

Very clean in the cargo area also no flaws and the carpet here isn't all fuzzy and sticking up. Looks and feels new.

October 2004:
Heres what the tints look like from the inside.

Janruary 2005:
Ever since the crash, the gauge and dash lights have been dying out. This is really a big problem for driving at night now...

May 2005:

Just some back cargo area shots...

August 2005

The center flame emblem

Hey man, Nice F-150 it looks sweet. Too bad you have your selling the X. No my ST isn't on bags yet. I decided to do my interior first. I have Katzkin seats waiting to be installed so their in my room right now and I'm going to order some suede next. But I just bought the Pioneer AVIC-N2 screen so I gotta save up again.

Thanks for your post, buddy. Ya, I plan on getting the body-side cladding painted as soon as the truck's paid for. It estimates over $1500 due to smoothing the plastic, and applying the fiberglass resin to make it match the rest of the body. By then I'll probably get the whole thing re-painted. Preferrably a custom, candy-paint color. Too bad your selling your Sport, but you gotta do what you gotta do. F-150's are sweet trucks & I'm sure you'll like it! Nice New T/A too, by the way! Do you still have the red one also?? Where do you get the money for all your cars?? Keep doin what you do & hit me back soon
