I have owned nearly 150 cars (including 11 Z-cars) and in my world of constant buying and selling, this '1971 240z is a "keeper". It sat since it threw a rod the year after I bought it ('91). I am currently running a 2.8 block and the '71 2.4 head. This combo results in 10:1 compression. The carbs are a set of triple Mikunis and I am running a large diameter 6-2-1 header to a 2 1/2" custom-bent exhaust. The Jim Cooke Racing "Cal-Z" body consists of box-flared front fenders and ferrari-like rears. This was called the "IMSA look" back in the early 80's. I am still looking for a modern set of 16x10" wheels to fill the huge wheel wells on this car... any suggestions? Here are a few of my past projects.... ! This was a '78 I picked up for $50 a few years ago. I drove home (8 miles) with NO CLUTCH! This one I got for free with the purchase of the $800 engine for the Cal-Z..... this is before..and after paint (it sold for $3000). This is the interior after seats, wheel, stereo etc. My sons know a Datsun when they see one. One day Andrew (then 6 years old) spied this one for sale a few towns over. $300 later it was in the driveway. This was a trade-in car that I drove this summer (2003). I purchased this one after looking at it back in '99. The guy wasn't sure about selling so I left a phone number. He called back in the spring of 2003. Jeez, how did he find that scrap of paper bag I wrote it on? I bought it on payments for a total of $200 and drove it home! I traded it straight up for this '87 300-Z. I got this through one of my Z-car connections for $400 in Jan. of '08. It's a turbo 5-speed car with only 120,000 miles. It had sat in a barn for years after the original owner died.

very nice collection you had over the years. To bad you got rid of that cream s130 those are really hard to find. And yes that eaton m90 SC will work with your car, if you have any questions on it just ask me.
