New Paint pictures coming soon. The car is in the bodyshop getting all the rust spots cut out and touched up. Also, the new GS hood is getting done.
This is how the car sits on 6/10/07. 340 is out, Engine compartment is being cleaned up a bit for the 400 to get dropped into.
Hi, I'm Ian, I graduated from Springfield High School, class of 2004, and am going to Penn State. I currently drive a 1967 Buick Special Wagon.
We (my father and I) got this car a few years ago and have been restoring it ever since. It was actually in good condition when we got it, and it is in very good condition now.
Last winter I had the windows tinted at Soundwaves. A couple of kids from my school had it done there, and it's a professional job. It was 300 bucks for 9 pieces of glass at 20% tint. It's very nice, because it adds privacy and, simply put, it's gangsta. You can see through it in the day time, but at night it's dark so you can't see in at all.
Originally the Buick came with 4 14" Buick mags, but now we have 15"s on it. Somewhere in the future 17" Buick Mags or Cragar SS's would be sweet. We also converted the front to disc brakes, didn't help the braking performance out too much.
I repainted my grille. All the paint was faded, so I took it completely apart and repainted the red stripe with my Buick red, and painted the top flat black, and the insides like silver. It's all the "correct" colors. Below on the left is a picture of what the grille USED to look like. On the right is a new picture of the grille. It turned out really nice.
