1970 Buick Riviera GS This is my 70 Riviera GS. I found this car in the local paper in 2000 when a elderly man passed away. When I went to look at it the paint was faded very bad but the car was in good shape. I then noticed that it was a GS, which I knew was very rare let alone this year. I then noticed the car only had 27,000 original miles on it. Then i Knew I had to buy it. After a year and a half restoration done by my dad and I. We brought it out to the 100th Buick Anniversary. We were up midnight the night before we left on the 380 mile trip to Michigan puting the lights in the car. We never drove it before but we had faith in our Buick. The Big Riv was a hit in Flint. Out of 3,000 Buicks it was 1 of 5 70 Rivs. Not even metioning the GS. It was looking great in its brand new Silver Mist paint job. Many people said it probably looked better now than it did 33 years ago when it left the Flint plant. The only mods to the Riv are the 17 inch Boyd Coddington wheels and 2.5 inch DynoMax Exhaust so that big 455 can breath. Only a Buick could have lines like that! Here are some 455 pics! Here are some interior pics! Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick.
