This was me working on my formula back in '03

This is my Formulas L98 all taken apart, its undergoing a major change. I will be doubling the factory horsepower and then some with the heads, intake, cam, exhaust and other things I am doing to the motor, in pursuit of 10 second 1/4 mile times.
I started the disassembling of the motor in early september of '03, and I was done taking it apart in about two weekends, across just over 13 hours. My buddy John was over for the first half of the disassembly.
This is the beginning of the disassembly.

This is when I pulled the intake, goodbye good ole' TPI!

This is my Formula underneath, its unfinished canopy outside. I have the car up on jackstands to make it easier to work on, and give the suspension a rest.

Here is the shortblock.

Here is the Factory roller cam, and original solid link timing chain. You two have been good to this car.

Here is my wicked 51% underdrive crank pulley from ASP Racing, I also have the 23% underdrive alternator pulley, not pictured. These are great pieces, cnc machined from pieces of a solid chunk of steel, and ASP makes some of the best racing pulleys out there. I was very pleased with the performance, looks and quality of both pullies. I picked up alot more mileage, and torque, while the motor revved much faster than before.

Here are my many rubbermaid boxes of the Formula and Iroc parts.
