This 240sx to S13 Silvia conversion is purly being built as a race car. Road racing more specifically, like Beaver Run, Summit Point, VIR and tracks like that.
So far it is nothing but a project car.
I drove all the way down to Richmond VA to pick up the car and tow it back on a rented dolly.
We get there and opened the hood just to see what kind of a mess the car was. Engine was half takin apart, the kid tried to rebuild the blown and locked motor by himself (no experience or knowledge), it was a horrible sight.
I paid for the car in cash, and got the hell out of there before the kid tried to engage in some kind of friendly conversation.
About an hour and half away from pick up, i look back to see how the car is doing.....ITS SMOKING like its on fire.
We were towing it back in neutral, yes it was an auto, AND the torque converter driedout and burned up, locking itself to the tranny, and the fly wheel. We pulled over to see exactly what could be done to take it the rest of the way home.
We had to pull the driveshaft off at a nearby truckstop, because the wheels wouldnt even turn anymore. I wish i had some good pics for you guys, but none were takin at the time. Would have been a great laugh for everyone...
