this my s10 when i bought it for $400 with a blown 2.8 I pulled that out and put a fairly stock 350 in it. Then i got board of that pretty quick so we changed the heads and the cam. that took a second of my quater mile so i was down to a whooping 14.2 wow, big deal, but it wasnt too bad. After we pulled that motor out and put another one in there. It was built with some decent pieces, and got me down to a 13.2 but that was spinnin half way down the track so after that summer we decided to tub it out for somethin to do, and that got me down to a 12.6 at 106 mph. Now its winter so that means time to put some power into this thing and have some fun. Here are a few pics of the project. The frame has been narrowed 5 inches on each side, to clear the tires. The tires are 31x18.5 m/ts, on 15x14 centerlines. The rearend is a 9 inch. the leafs have been dearced a few inches to lower the truck a bit. I just used the original shocks in the back to keep things easy. We made up our own adjustable traction bars but i think im gonna change that to a ladder bar system this winter. It has 3.9 gears but im gonna change that to a 4.33. tranny is a th350 with a tcs 3500 stall. inthe front i got them 90/10 shocks theyt seems to work alright.
