well last sunday i left the lights on. monday came out to the car and tried to start it and found the battery completly dead. the buzzer telling me the keys were in the ignition with the door open didnt even go off. luckily i was able to recharge the battery so i got lucky. thursday the car started to run hot. didnt know why, so i checked the radiator fluid...it was BROWN! so yesterday i went and got coolant and decided to get new plugs too. i got bosch platinum plugs, im getting new wires tuesday or wednesday. this morning i flushed and refilled the radiator. it was a dark brown almost black. probably hadnt been changed in 15 years so its a good thing i noticed.

wow serious jump in hits the last few days. thanks all! i called mazda about the seal washers and they wanted $4.13 each! considering i need 14 i wasnt gonna spend that kind of money. so we put silicon on the bottom, let that harden and it worked great. now the bad news...when i was tightening the bolts down for the valve covers to specs, i broke off the head of the closest bolt on the passengers side with the bolt inside! i wasnt to happy about that. instead of taking of the vc and having to replace the gasket again which would have been another $30, im using a bolt remover. ive started it going, but was having some trouble so im gonna try and get it done tomorrow. worst case i will have to take of the cover again or drill out the bolt...so thats it for now. btw my bday is in 2 days :D

its definitely been awhile. sorry for the lack of updates. we had to put a silencer on the new muffler because it was so loud. the legal limit is 100db and with the silencer its at 98db :p so im still barely legal. on the 15th i started to replace the valve cover gasket. today i started putting it back together and realized i needed new seal washers so i will have to order those tomorrow. check out what my engine looks like on the third page.

we got the muffler today. its an afterburner by flowtech. we started installing one shock. then realized we got the wrong spring compressor. had to go back and get the right one. so we are gonna work more on it tomorrow

Looks nice, mines the same except white on the outside and not so clean! If you have any info on the main relay block hiding up over the steering column I'd love to see it.
