qparks's 1982 Toyota SupraA 2.8L DOHC Inline 6. For a stock car she kicks some but when I want to. I have an 87 sittin in my yard with a not so good body, so I'm thinking about swapping the 7MGTE into her and be able to have fun with most small cars around and the 5.0L's. Yes I know it's dirty and should clean and put up a better pic, but how long can an engine stay spotless considering she's my daily driver. Also a better view of the Tower strut bar. And in the bottom right corner you can see I upgraded with a Drycell battery and high quality Tsunami Terminals which set me back a fair amount. But are worth it i think, finish is amazing, and the O/1 AWG output will be nice with the big amps I will be running soon.

qparks's 1982 Toyota Supra Here is also the new alternator I had to replace in April 04 (only a toyota rebuild so, 75A). A few weeks when I was to move back from college in Kelowna, my battery died, so I replaced it with the drycell, started teh car, ran great, shut it off, then tryed to restart, and the alt was toast, charge light on and any accessory sucked the batt way down.

qparks's 1982 Toyota Supra Here is my tire tread from last June 03 until this June 04. Yes I am hard on my tires, but with a car that handles like the supra, it's hard not to take corners hard, and lay a patch every now and then, dont' forget the odd race, and chirpin up to 3rd. Well she don't anymore, the clutch is slipping and getting higher mileage now. This is 3rd pair on the front and 5th set on the rears, lol (owned the supra since June 01). I am taking it a lot easier now, because the first set were MIchelin Pilot XGT H4's, great grip in wet and dry, a little soft so wore out quick. Second set were slightly used Kelly chargers, only rear though, 2 sets of those. Now I run Kelly Charger's all the way around, a little harder than the Michelin's, but not all that much. I do have quality winters, yes i have to winter this car, I felt bad because she never saw a winter until I owned her. I have Nokian Hakkapelita Q's, best tire i've ever owned in the winter, I've had Blizzak's and BFG Slalom's on my other cars.

qparks's 1982 Toyota Supra qparks's 1982 Toyota Supra I upgraded my sealed beam headlights about 6 months after I got the car. I upgraded to new Liteglow housings without diffusers (big diff in light output), and put in cheapy bulbs a set of H4 80W/100W. They lasted quite awhile, but then started getting foggy and little chips, when I got a big hole in the drivers side, I got new housings (same cause they were not bad priced), but upgraded to PIAA Super Plasma 55W/65W (output of 110W/135W I believe), and look much nicer, the left pic is the old bulbs and housings, and the right is the new, you can see the difference in color slightly, and the housings don't look fogged.

qparks's 1982 Toyota Supra New OEM seals and grommets. Valve Cover seals, The old Valve cover seals were so bad that they stayed in shape when removed and snapped in half when bent. Valve cover screw grommets, these were solid with no give. Valve Cover screws, old ones heads partially stripped. Engine Rear main oil seal, original seal wasn't bad, but again hard, not leaking though. Transmission rear main oil seal, same for the transmission, not leaking, just stiff. Shifter bushing, the old bushing is near half the thickness of the new, really warn out.

Dude, I live in Williams Lake.......and used to own that car, I hope you still have it. it was my first car and it was awesome, It brings a tear to my eye to see that last picture. I'd like to see if you are still modifying to things on it. I miss that car. Your the man for fixing it up and giving it a good home. I traded it in for 3,600 bucks. When I bought it it 84,000 kms, I had it for three years and never winter drove it. I had to put a new cylinder head on it and that was the only thing that ever went wrong when I owned it.....mind you it cost me 2200 bucks. You def get a 5 star rating from me man. make sure you check out my truck and let me know what you think. I can't believe that is my old car. WOW!!!! Jimbo
