*UPDATE*

My CRX project is currently going SMOOTHLY and on time. I made a commitment to get my car on schedule n' it's going good. On Friday Jan. 23rd, 2004, me and Jordan got up early at 8 to start up the CRX and bring it up to Franklin, CT. Luckily the CRX made it up there in one piece. It had a blown headgasket unfortunately, but oh well. Alex (the guy who's doing my swap) charged me 400 bucks for the engine to be installed. I also wanted the Si Tranny, so i bought the tranny plus a clutch kit for 225 dollars. Some good stuff right there. He's currently busy though, so he said he'll have my swap done in about 2 weeks. So i shall now wait!

Here's a pic of the fluids i bought for the new engine.

*UPDATE 2/18/2004*
It's been a long couple weeks. Last night I went up to see how my car was doing. So far so good. We ran into a problem with my DX Manifold downpipe, it hits the oil pan on my d16y8, so now i have to use some crappy header for now. Gonna bring it up tonight. Only thing left to do on my CRX is to finish up the wiring, and we can start this bad boy up. I hope it gets done tonight. Here's pics of what went down last night.

These are pics of the old engine (d15b2)

Here are new pics of the engine installed in my CRX. They aren't that great, but oh well, we can live with it for now.

Well...we finished up the wiring and it was the moment of truth. Turned the car over, and it took a minute for it to finally go *VVRRROOOMMMM* Best feeling ever to see a swap get finished. Pics of the car will be on later on today.

Here are the pics!!! *Feb 22nd, 2004*

*UPDATE* 5/27/04
Since my Si tranny was ruined during my race against a b16a2 hatch, i bought another one! 125 Shipped on AF. This guy gave me a good deal and i'm grateful for it. Yay! The DX tranny is good for gas, but damn....my acceleration has declined A LOT. I ruined my Si tranny during the race. We raced on May 13th, 2004. We both start off and when I hit 3rd gear, the tranny wouldn't go in. So I kept trying, but no luck. Next thing I know, I see Angel's hood fly open and smash his windshield and roof. I ended up ruining my shifter fork. I drove around for about 2 weeks stuck in second gear. So now i'm using the DX tranny to get me around town. Here's a pic of the Si tranny that's ruined and Angel's Hatch.

I finally got my Si tranny shipped and sitting in my house. Here's a pic of the tranny inside the box. I didn't even open it yet lol

*UPDATE* June 9th, 2004

Well here's the big day! I've been driving around with the dx tranny for a couple of weeks now...it's pretty damn slow, but oh well. It got me places, right? I'll have pics of Jordan and I putting the tranny in later! Can't wait to have some power!

*UPDATE* July 8th 2004
I haven't updated this in awhile...so here's the update. When Alex installed my engine, he did a real crappy job with the wiring. Me and Jordan cleaned it up today and here's the pics of how it came out.
