Question: Should I try out the 150 HP nitro jets on stock pistons or stick with the 100HP jets?

NitroJones's 1972 Pontiac Lemans Lynchburg, OH Customized with Crane Cams Engine Comps., Custom Exhaust, Hooker Header, Weiand Intake, MSD Ignition, Custom Transmission, Custom Gauges, Custom Seats - 1

My father bought the car new in 72. He put 100k on it and gave it to me when I was 15 so I could start working on it. 21 years later, I still have it and probably will keep it until I die or it does.. what ever happens first. Info -

The motor and paint job happened in 1984/85 - thanks to my buddy Kenny. Last year, with the help of my buddy Lonnie, the motor got nitrus. He also helped with a few other minor mods a few years prior.

I run 2-3 times a year at the track for special events. The car runs 12.60's with juice, (100 HP Jets), and 13.30's with out. I am getting ready to add some safety items and do the body work again this winter.

Engine: 400ci with crane fireballer cam, lifters, hardened keepers, screw in big block studs, double springs, wiend intake, holly 750 carb tricked out, 100 HP Nitro jets, headers, chrome molly rings on stock pistons.

Tranny: 400 turbo with shift kit and a vega torque converter that stalls around 3000 rpm and has lasted over 15 years and counting..(knock on wood)

Rear end: 12 bolt posi with 4:10 gears.
