Interior:
I replaced the original 3rd gen console with one out of a 2000 F-Body. It fools a lot of people because of the 6-speed shift pattern & boot. I got it because of the cupholders.
fbodyaddict99's 1989 Pontiac Firebird While I was installing it, I decided to remove the seats and steam clean the car. In doing so, I found french fries from who knows when...
At first the original 3rd gen window switches were mounted in the ash tray, but I wanted the auto-down feature found on newer cars. A member on thirdgen.org suggested Saturn switches work. I picked up a set for $3 at PAP in Santa Ana and wired them up. It even has a little amber light that matches the gauges in the car.fbodyaddict99's 1989 Pontiac Firebirdfbodyaddict99's 1989 Pontiac Firebird

Here are my personal touches to the 'bird. Again the FIREBIRD fender emblem shows up because it looked right at home under the gauges. A mod you would think is something that came stock.

Anteater pride!! ZOT!

I recently cleaned some stains w/ a solution of Oxyclean and water... wow that stuff works great... it took off stains that were at least 5 years old... its amazing!!!

5/22/04 - Installation of 4th Gen Leather! I got them from Rusty out in Fontana, thanks for the great deal!!

My buddy Mark chillin after back seat installation, and me falling down to recline the old seats.
We got back from 8T8IROC's place at about 3:30, and we had all the seats replaced by 4:30... real simple installation.

Some final pictures, quickly taken, but they do capture the beauty of 4th gen leather!

Thanks Rusty and 8T8, great meeting you guys and hopefully we'll see ya soon!

And, since now I have extra seats lying around, I'm putting them to use as my really comfy computer chair.
