Here are some pics of the car I borrowed from work one day. Man!, are those things fun. If it weren't for the ZO6 Package, I'd trade it in on an optioned out F-Body in a sec. Other than the ZO6, Vettes don't do a heck of a lot for me to be honest.

Here are some more pics of the "General" with my friends Mach 1 Mustang

And last but not least is my other friends car, A Blown 396 tube frame Pro Street CHEVETTE, yes, a CHEVETTE! And you can see the IROC behind it with the blk/org rocker stripes and hood pins!

I've had people mail me and ask me about performance stuff on the Camaro and I really don't have any hard numbers YET!
What I can tell you is only as good as what you believe and as good a story as I can tell I guess. So...here goes:
Its pretty damn close to the ZO6 at work, I won't say whether its faster or slower because each time is different with traction and the light years of technology differance in suspension and traction issues. Let me say I've driven both cars and regular base vettes and as for the regular vettes it doesn't feel anywhere near it. The only feeling shared with mine is with the ZO6 and there numbers being in and around the same neighborhood thats what it FEELS like. As for street action, I've raced the WS6 and also the General. The WS6 has different gears so its at a disadvantage off the bat and the power is also handicapping it so its a good chaser but not a dominator over the IROC. I've frusterated other WS6 owners before and its a good feeling I gues because its an ego thing and I hate to say it but alot of guys/people think the 3rd and later 2nd gens are all pushovers with the smog equipment weighing them down and thats my satisfaction to see their face wondering why they can't get out front. The comparison to the General on the other hand is farther apart than most think because mostly the highway gears in it mated to a 3spd auto w/out an overdrive gear and the size/weight differance puts it at a severe disadvantage. BUT, the ol' General ain't goin down quietly. The big block 440 makes up for the problem with pure grunt and I mean its amazing how quickly the car accellerates when you think about its size compared to todays cars and it does NOT feel like a bigger car when being driven. When its rolling its a very fast car as well and it doesn't lose too much to the Iroc either considering the list of parts on the 2 vehicles (factory to aftermarket).
Anyway, after all that was said only to give you an idea of its/their capabilities on the tarmac. I can guesstimate on 0-60 times of being lower 4 sec range, already proven Z06 territory. As for 1/4 times, I will not speculate till I finish the suspension and get a track time!
One story I enjoy telling about the car is one night all of us at a friends house decided to go out for pizza and one of the guys has a 95 5spd GT stang with a few bolts on and NITROUS (75 shot only). We come to a light side by side and this is around 6pm and not alot of people/cars around so we stood on em. He opened his bottle and what really did surprise me is how easily even on only my motor verus his with NO2 to help him, that it didn't help him. I walked all over him and kept goin never lookin back. I never realize how quick my car is because I drive it every day (for now)and just get used to it and comfortable with its way of driving. When you have a race like that and perform like that it opens your eyes and you say to yourself "Man, this thing is freakin fast".
(I hope I didn't come off as a bragger, cause I really hate that but I just want to give you an idea and answer your performance qustions!)
The funniest thing the guys at work(the mechanics) told me was, "You want your car to be faster? Put it away for the winter, then wait 'till spring!"
Hmmmm, good idea that worked for about 2 weeks, then it needs to be faster again.
