BEFORE and AFTER new paint and hood

I will keep UPDATES on page 5 and up

Here Is My '88 "IROC-SS"
I call it an 'SS' instead of a 'Z' because I wanted something different than a typical IROC and I ordered the ASCD 'SS' hood because it was the only one to catch my eye and resemble a factory application plus I could get more air to the engine for a few extra ponies once I finish the custum aluminum air box to sit on the plenum like the 96-97 'SS'. Since I put the hood on I thought It needed something else to break up all that white (One of my least favorite car colors because it doesn't evoke a lot of excitement or attention for a car of the Camaro's stature). I must say though that the white is starting to grow on me. I applied the Hugger orange stripes because of the heritage to the 69 cars and I've always been a 1st gen nut as well. Since you could also get the 30th annivers. package with the same but updated stripes on the 97 'SS' cars I thought it was fitting for me to apply them to mine as well. I went ahead with the SS style only because GM has made an 'SS' in every Generation but the 3rd so I thought I would make my own. After these pics were taken I also applied the factory rocker stripes but instead of the normal Silver/Black I changed it to Hugger/Black along with the IROC decals that read "IROC-SS" in complete factory style in silver and it all goes together visually very nicely (So I think, which is most important).

Soon I hope to install the Chrome 18inch IROC rims to further enhance the appearance but not stray too far from factory style so I'll get the chrome (85-87 style) and paint the metallic grey inner spokes and outside edges to look just like the factory 16's. I hope the 18's fit with the lowering springs, hoping the fenders don't rub.

THE ABOVE PICS ARE DEMONSTRATORS, But, this is the look I'm goin for with the wheels I wish to add.

If anyone has already been through this excursion I'd love to hear your input and suggestions!!
